Nov 14, 2005 (newstodate): Based on its global partnership agreement with AirBridge Cargo, Swissport is keen to participate in the development of Krasjnoyarsk Airport as a major cargo hub.
-Kasjnoyarsk is already an important cargo turn-table for cargo between Europe and the Far East, but with AirBridge Cargo's impressive growth the potentials are very big, says Stephan Beerli, Swissport VP Marketing & Communications.
-We are not to be seen as "coaches" but we will probably station our people there in specific phases of the project to induce our experience and bring in our know-how.
-As is well-known, we do like to take a majority stake in facilities where we are present, and this will probably also include investments in coming projects in Krasjnoyarsk.
-With this partnership with AirBridge Cargo we are keen to be part of the company's success as they expand globally, and we are ready to follow them to the USA when they arrive there as well, says Mr Beerli.
