Nov 23, 2005 (newstodate): Several airline operators are expectedly considering stepping in to fill out the void left after the demise of Air Lithuania.
Among these are airBaltic that operates its Lithuanian hub at Vilnius, Amber Air that is located at Kaunas and is known to have been sitting on the fence awaiting the situation around Air Lithuania, Danish airline DAT that has established a daughter company, DOT, in Lithuania, and Lithuanian Airlines.
Now defunct, Air Lithuania has operated routes from Kaunas to Billund Airport, Denmark, Oslo, Norway, and Hamburg, Germany.
