FEB 09, 2005 (newstodate): Since October, 2004, German company Dachser has held an 80 percent stake in the Slovakian logistics company Lindbergh through its Hungarian company Liegl & Dachser.
With this acquisition, Dachser has four branch offices in Slovakia.
Lindbergh's head office is in the Slovakian capital, Bratislava, not far from the international airport. It employs a total of over 120 staff and is one of the country's top freight forwarders. Dachser's other branches are in Kosice, Martin and Sliac.
Slovakia is Germany's fifth-biggest trading partner among the states of Central and Eastern Europe. In terms of Slovakian exports, Germany is the number one destination, ahead of the Czech Republic. Almost 32% of all the countrys exports go to Germany. The key goods involved are vehicles, machinery and equipment. In terms of imports, Germany is Slovakias most important partner, accounting for over 25% of the total volume.
