FEB 25, 2005 (newstodate): India has signed an agreement with Afghanistan on the upgrading of the country's war-torn civil aviation facilities.
Under the agreement India will train Afghans in airport management, air traffic control, navigation, safety, and aircraft maintenance.
Also India's state-owned carrier Indian Airlines will begin flying to Kabul from New Delhi beginning March 27, 2005.
The agreement was signed during Afghan Prime Minister Karzai's ongoing visit to India.
