MAR 14, 2005 (newstodate): Work on Serbia-Montenegro's new Podgorica Airport has now started with the Montegrine PM's official breaking of the ground at a ceremony last week.
The Aerodromi Crne Gore, Montenegrin Airports company, has signed an 8.6 million euro contract with the Cypriotic construction firm CCM for the building of a new 5,500 sq. m. passenger terminal that will become operational by next year already.
The airport project is part of the master plan for the reconstruction of Podgorica and Tivat Airports that will receive 23 million euros in credits from the European Investment Bank and EBRD.
