MAR 21, 2005 (newstodate): CSA has now taken possession of its first Airbus A320 aircraft.
The aircraft will enter service from the coming summer program, serving the airline's routes to London, Amsterdam, Moscow, Baku, Barcelona, Erevan and Ekaterinburg together with the second aircraft slated for arrival during April and entry into service from May.
The aircraft is aqcquired on a six years lease arrangement with SALE.
In total, CSA will take in three leased A320 and two A319 that will remain in service till the carrier has received the six A320 and six A319 aircraft ordered from the manufacturer in February this year.
The Airbus fleet will gradually replace the carrier's Boeing 737 aircraft now in service.
