MAR 02, 2005 (newstodate): A general scarcity of space on aircraft operated by airlines and express companies may trigger Emirates Post to add a fleet of aircraft to meet demands from its international courier services.
Speaking at the opening session in Dubai of the World Mail, Express and Air Cargo Expo, Middle East and Africa, Abdullah Al Daboos, Emirates Post director-general, said his company is considering to venture into shipping, financial, freight and international courier services as part of its diversification plan.
Emirates Post is also considering a privatisation, and Deutsche Post has reportedly already filed its interest to buy shares.
