MAR 09, 2005 (newstodate): Taking effect from April 15, a new independent cargo GSA has announced its decision to start operations in the Danish market under the name ProActive Airline Services.
-Lately we have seen a growing demand for another GSA in the Scandinavian market. Too many airlines, with conflicts of interest, are currently represented by one and the same GSA, resulting in dissatisfied carriers with non-fulfilled expectations to their presence and performance in the market, say Michael Baekboel and Peter Garrett in a press release.
The new GSA will start operations from new premises close to Copenhagen Airport.
Danish citizen Michael Baekboel, residing in the USA since 1985, has been in a leading position in a major US logistics company based at San Francisco, while Peter Garrett set up a cargo GSA company to sell capacity on low cost carrier Sterling alongside his position as Boeing 737 captain.
