MAY 24, 2005 (newstodate): The Oman government has contracted a Danish airport construction group to develop the country's airport.
Under the contract, the Group comprising Copenhagen Airports, the construction company COWI and the architect office HLT will provide consultative services to study, design and supervise the construction of a new terminal at Seeb International Airport with an annual capacity of 12 million passengers.
The agreement also includes construction of a new terminal at Salalah Airport with an annual capacity between two and three million passengers.
This latter work is to be completed 2008, including the enhancement of the airport's services.
