MAY 31, 2005 (newstodate): Pending the final decision by the Hungarian cabinet, Budapest Ferihegy Airport will be privatised through a tender to be opened during the second half of this year.
The government has earlier said that 75 percent of the shares in the airport will be up for sale, or the airport may be offered under a long-term operational concession.
Copenhagen Airports was early out in announcing its interest after having succesfully won the tenders for Bulgarian airports Varna and Bourgas, and the British BAA has also announced its decision to bid in a tender.
