AUG 15, 2005 (newstodate): Air Lithuania, that was recently acquired by its former director-general, is currently consolidating its operations.
-We have gone through the organisation very carefully in order to increase efficiency and profitability, and in this process we have laid off a number of staff. This process, however, is completed by now, says Naglis Vysnauskas, Air Lithuania owner and director-general.
-We have thus consolidated our business, and for the near future we do not intend neither to add, nor close any destinations currently served. The aircraft fleet, comprising three ATR-42, will also be sufficient to secure the operations, he says.
