SEP 5, 2005 (newstodate): The Slovak government has now shortlisted five out of eight participants in the privatisation tender for Bratislava and Kosice airports.
The five bidders who make it to the final round include the "Airport Two One" consortium around Vienna Airport, a Spanish group around airport operating company TBI, a French group around Vinci, Independent Slovak Airport Partners comprising Bonn-Cologne Airport, Airport Consulting Vienna and a Canadian engineering company, and the Turkish Tepe Akfen Ventures.
Among those who did not make it to the finals is Copenhagen Airport that is now pinning its hopes on the tender for Budapest Ferihegy Airport.
The participants must now meet the next deadline November 15 for delivering binding bids for the airport stakes, and the privatisation process is due to be completed before the end of the year.
