Feb 10, 2006 (newstodate): In the new summer program, Liuthuanian carrier Amber Air will add a daily flight between Palanga and Hamburg, offering twice-daily services.
The carrier does not, however, plan for adding new destinations in the near future.
-We planned to start operations to Oslo from last December, but as flyLAL is operating there, too, this left little room for more capacity, says Darius Gintautas, Amber Air.
Amber Air also had plans for starting operations on the route between Palanga and Billund, Denmark, but this was taken over by DOT from December 2, when Air Lithuania went brankrupt.
-So we do not currently plan new routes beyond our flights to Hamburg, says mr Gintautas.
The carrier operates two SAAB 340 aircraft.
