Mar 6, 2006 (newstodate): Danish regional airline DAT is currently operating three ATR-42 freighters in Norway under a contract with SAS Cargo/SAA Braathens Cargo.
As sub-supplier, DAT performs nightly flights for Post Norway between Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim, and Oslo under the contract that expires on March 31, with a clause for prolongation.
DAT started operating mail flights in Norway on January 1 with one aircraft based in Oslo, expanding with one aircraft based in Bergen from the end of February, and now operating three dedicated freighters for the mission.
Post Norway's total nightly mail volumes on the three routes varies between 40 and 80 tonnes.
