Sep 8, 2006 (newstodate): Lithuanian carrier Amber Air will soon announce concrete plans of expansion together with yet-unnamed partners.
Amber Air, in the air since May, 2005, currently operates a daily route between Palanga and Hamburg, using SAAB 340 aircraft on a lease arragement with SAAB Aircraft Leasing, and earlier had plans for routes to Oslo, Billund, and Copenhagen.
-Eventually our Hamburg flight has become our mainstay, and in addition to scheduled services on this route we have also entered the charter market to optimise the utilisation of our aircraft, says Vytautas Guzauskas, Amber Air chief financial officer.
-At the moment I can confirm that we are in negotiations with parterns about a significant expansoin of our activities and route network and we will announce details when these negotiations have been finalised, he says.
