Sep 18, 2006 (newstodate): The Russian carrier UTAir is planning for a major fleet upgrade in 2006.
The carrier will replace its current fleet of YAK-40 and AN-24 by 15 ATR-42 aircraft.
UTAir now operates 114 fixed-wing aircraft including TU-154, TU-134, YAK-40, AN-24 and AN-26 aircraft, as well as 169 rotary-wing aircraft, making it the world's largest helicopter operator.
