Oct 5, 2007 (newstodate): Air cargo exports continue to grow at Denmark's Billund Airport - but falling import volumes drive results down.
In September, the airport generated 3,100 tonnes of exports, increasing 9.2 percent, y-o-y.
The monthly total of 5,320 tonnes was, however, down 1.7 percent as imports fell 13.8 percent to 2,210 tonnes.
The same trend is reflected in the figures for January-September: total volumes, 44,054 tonnes, are up 7.8 percent, y-o-y, but while exports increased by 16.6 percent to 24,349 tonnes, imports fell 1.3 percent to 19,708 tonnes.
