Oct 25, 2007 (newstodate): Spirit Air Cargo Handling, a subsidiary of SAS Cargo, has set 2010 for the opening of a new cargo terminal at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The new terminal will be designed to handle up to 200,000 tons cargo annually, which is a doubling of the company's current capacity at Stockholm Arlanda.
-Besides providing more capacity, the new terminal will also live up to the increased demand from our customers regarding high security levels, high efficiency, product differentiation and high quality standards, says Anders Skantz, Spirit Air Cargo Handling Sweden Managing Director.
The new terminal will be constructed by Nordic Airport Properties, NAP, and leased by Spirit Air Cargo Handling.
Through its newly-acquired subsidiary Lynx, 50 percent of NAP is owned by GECAS, with the Swedish Luftfartsverket holding the other half.
