Mar 6, 2007 (newstodate): The new Russian company Aeroflot Cargo is introducing, for the first time in Russia, scheduled domestic freighter services.
Maiden flights with DC-10-40F are to be flown on March 10 on the route Moscow-Khabarovsk, and on March 13 Moscow-Novosibirsk.
The new scheduled services from Moscow to Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk will provide new business possibilities for shippers and forwarders to plan transportation and logistics, also notably shortening delivery times of perishables and express shipments and mail to regions of the Far East and Siberia.
From the middle of March the carrier's DC-10-40F will operate once weekly to Khabarovsk and twice weekly to Novosibirsk.
After delivery of the first new MD-11F this summer, frequencies will be increased to five weekly flights on the Moscow-Novosibirsk route, and three weekly flights on the Moscow-Khabarovsk route.
