Jun 20, 2007 (newstodate): In this year's Q1, Norway emerged as the fastest-growing Scandinavian IATA export cargo market, according to CASS Nordic.
Norway's total export air cargo volumes carried on IATA airlines grew by 15 percent to 19,502 tonnes.
With a 28.5 percent share, Japan remained Norway's single largest export market with 5,569 tonnes, up 6.6 percent, followed by China, up 27.8 percent to 4,621 tonnes and a share at 23.7 percent of the total volumes.
In Q1, the biggest growth was generated by Korea that increased by 49.5 percent to 1,312 tonnes, corresponding to 6.5 percent of the total volume.
Significant growth in volumes was also seen in exports to the Middle East, up 46.5 percent to 921 tonnes, corresponding to 4.7 percent of the total volumes.
