Jul 30, 2007 (newstodate): By the end of August, Lufthansa Consulting will deliver a report on Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport to AviaInvest, a planning company contracted by the Russian Ministry of
Transport.
Sheremetyevo Airport has seen its market down very significant, from 63 percent in 2000 to
38percent in 2006, after major foreign airlines left the airport and transferred their operations to Domodedovo and, to a lesser degreee, to Vnukovo airports because of capacity constraints and poor service quality.
After analysing three available, but differing forecasts for Sheremetyevo Airport, Lufthansa Consulting will provide consultancy
support for a final review of the expansion
plan for Sheremetyevo Airport, mainly for the construction of a third runway.
