Jan 16, 2008 (newstodate): Air cargo volumes in January-November, 2007, reached a total of 55,704 tonnes at Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
Totals include 29,200 tonnes of imports and 26,504 tonnes of exports.
The total volumes were up six percent, y-o-y, comprising a 17 percent growth in exports, and a decline by two percent in imports.
While the first half of 2007 ended with a cumulative growth by 17 percent in total volumes, with imports and exports up by 10 and 27 percent, respectively, the latter half of the year was marked by a steady drop in imports from July, and a decline in exports from October.
In November, the latest month reported, imports were down 24 percent, and exports by four percent, resulting in an over-all decline by 16 percent in total volumes.
The airport plans to announce its full-year volumes by next week.
