Oct 3, 2008 (newstodate): So far a dedicated Boeing operator, the privately-owned Russian airline Transaero may soon place a fresh order for Airbus aircraft.
The carrier is reportedly negotiating with Airbus over delivery of six Airbus A350XWB or even Airbus A380 aircraft.
In 2006 Transaero placed its first order with Airbus for eight A330-200 aircraft and is negotiating an order for 10 Airbus A320 aircraft, with deliveries to start in 2009.
Transaero was the Russian airline to introduce the Boeing 747 aircraft in its fleet.
