Dec 9, 2008 (newstodate): In November, airBaltic Cargo saw its cargo volumes up by 3.4 percent despite a generally depressed market.
The carrier handled a total of 554 tonnes of cargo in November, the second-largest monthly volume so far in 2008.
-In Latvia, volumes at Riga Airport stayed almost unchanged, compared to last year, totalling 693 tonnes of cargo after growing only 0.6 percent, y-o-y, while airBaltic Cargo was up between three and four percent, says Toms Andersons, airBaltic Cargo Head.
-In the Lithuanian market, total volumes at Vilnius Airport dropped 11.2 percent, y-o-y, but airBaltic Cargo managed to keep its leading market share for the second month running.
