Dec 2, 2008 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport saw its cargo volumes down by 7.2 percent in November, 2008.
The airport handled a total of 4,664 tonnes of cargo in November, including 2,287 tonnes of imports, up 4.4 percent, and 2,377 tonnes of exports, declining steeply by 16.1 percent in consequence of the current economical downturn.
For this year's first 11 months, the airport reports an over-all decline in volumes by 3.6 percent, y-o-y, to 52,558 tonnes, including 23,602 tonnes of imports, down 2.6 percent, and 28,956 tonnes of exports, down 4.4 percent.
