Feb 13, 2008 (newstodate): Azerbaijan Airlines is preparing for delivery of three Boeing 787 Dreamliner and two Boeing 737-900 aircraft before the end of 2009.
The first Boeing 737-900 will be delivered in February, 2009, and the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner is slated for delivery by April or May, 2009.
The carrier has also ordered two ATR 42-500 and four ATR 72-500 aircraft, of which two have already entered service.
Delivery of the new aircraft will allow Azerbaijan Airlines to phase out its remaining Russian-built aircraft from active service.
