Feb 21, 2008 (newstodate): February 16, 2008, saw the official opening of the new air cargo and multi-modal hub at Russia's Krasnoyarsk Airport.
The hub is designed to provide facilities for cargo airlines en-route between Asia and Europe, USA and Canada, and is already served by KrasAir and Volga-Dnepr Group's AirBridge Cargo.
The vision of the hub is also to lure foreign carriers, especially Lufthansa Cargo, to use Krasnoyarsk as a preferred hub for their flights to Asia.
