Mar 14, 2008 (newstodate): Implementation of a new satellite navigation system will allow the Slovakian LCC SkyEurope to save fuel on flights.
With the system, the carrier's aircraft can navigate more precisely, with deviations from the planned route below 0.1 nautical mile, immediately benefiting approach flight patterns.
The new system will be installed in all 14 Boeing 737 aircraft before the end of this year, making SkyEurope only the second carrier in Europe, after Austrian Airlines, to implement this navigation method.
