Apr 7, 2008 (newstodate): Effective from April 11, 2008, the Latvian carrier airBaltic plans to open its second domestic route in Latvia.
The carrier will operate twice daily on weekdays between Riga and Ventspils on Nortwestern Latvia's Baltic coast, using Fokker F50 aircraft.
Ventspils, with a 1,300 m runway, is one of Latvia's three international airports, alongside Liepaja International Airport and Riga International Airport.
