Apr 17, 2008 (newstodate): After 10 years of absence, Polish carrier LOT is back in Beijing.
From the end of March, 2008, LOT serves the route from Warsaw to Beijing three times weekly with Boeing 767 aircraft, later to replaced by Boeing 787, originally slated for delivery from late 2008 but now delayed by Boeing's sustained production problems that have cut planned first-year deliveries from 109 to a mere 25 units in Q3, 2009.
LOT has ordered a total of eight Boeing 787 and will become the first European operator of the aircraft.
