Aug 18, 2008 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Dalavia remains confident that it will receive its first new Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in October 2009.
The carrier has now deposited its first installment on the aircraft order comprising delivery of a total of six Superjet aircraft by July 2010.
Dalavia, based at Khabarovsk, also has options for a further six Superjet 100 aircraft.
The virgin flight of the Superjet 100 was originally planned for ultimo 2007, but was eventually delayed till May 19, 2008, due to bottle-necks in the production that has cut back deliveries by almost one year.
