Oct 06, 2009 (newstodate): A new Macedonian carrier, Airlift Service, has been cleared to launch traffic to Brussels.
The Macedonian authorities have licensed the privately-owned carrier to operate two weekly flights from Skopje to Brussels, using MD-82 aircraft on the route.
The charter airline is already in the air with a route between Ohrid, Macedonia, and Sofia, Bulgaria.
Airlift Services, headed by Trajko Kikerkovski, is funded by Macedonian and Bulgarian investors
