Oct 26, 2009 (newstodate): Serbia's Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has set its target for 2010: it want to become the fastest-growing in Europe's air traffic!
To facilitate this aim, the airport is in the final stages of renovating its apron area and taxiways, and plans are to add a further five to eight new jet bridges at the gates of the terminal A.
Also on the shopping list is a new snow-clearing vehicle, de-icing equipment and a friction-measuring vehicle.
Above it all, hopes are running high for Emirates to launch services to Belgrade as new regional hub in Central Europe.
