Apr 20, 2009 (newstodate): The Danish airline and capacity provider DAT has signed an ACMI contract with Australian company Adagold to provide one Boeing 737-300QC aircraft.
The aircraft, due to be delivered to DAT's Lithuanian subsidiary DOT on a lease contract by June, 2009, will be placed on Lithuanian registers and operated with Lithuanian crew and have the Danish joint military/civil airport at Karup as its operational base.
-Adagold will use the aircraft for uplift of personnel and equipment under contracts with NATO countries, and our role will be to provide the operational availability of the aircraft whenever required, says Ole Christiansen, DAT VP Sales.
DAT and DOT do not themselves operate Boeing 737 aircraft but will take in ex-flyLAL certified Boeing 737 crew to fly the aircraft.
