May 20, 2009 (newstodate): Finnair has decided to add a second destination in Norway during the summer period.
Effective from May 22 and till September 29, 2009, the carrier will offer five weekly flights between Helsinki and Bergen with Embraer aircraft.
-The main driver behind the summer route to Bergen is high
tourism demand from Asia, particularly from Japan, directed at Norway's
fjord area. There is also interest in the new route from America and
the southern European countries, says Petteri Kostermaa, Finnair VP Route Strategy and Traffic Planning.
Finnair flies to Oslo four times a day on weekdays and three times a day
at the weekend.
