May 06, 2009 (nestodate): New Lufthansa destination in Poland is Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport, in the country's southeastern part.
Since April 27, 2009, Lufthansa has offered five weekly flights between Frankfurt and Rzeszow with CRJ 700 aircraft.
The new destination is Lufthansa's seventh in Poland.
Earlier this year, the EU Commission granted 28 mio euro to the development of Polish airport, and at Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport projects include the construction of a new passenger terminal, a new apron and a new de-icing platform.
The airport plans to open a tender for the projects before the end of 2009.
