May 08, 2009 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines, based at Yekaterinburg, has become the country's second operator of the Airbus A321.
Ural Airlines received its first A321 on May 5, 2009, and already operates six Airbus 320 aircraft with one more to come in 2009.
The A321 will be introduced in commercial service from the middle of May.
The only other A321 operator in Russia is Aeroflot that operates 10 Airbus A321 aircraft, with orders for 14 more to follow.
