Jun 09, 2009 (newstodate): May 2009 saw cargo volumes sliding further down at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport.
A total of 326 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, a decline by 30.05 percent, y-o-y.
So far all months in 2009 have produced negative cargo growth, and the accumulated drop in volumes during January-May was 30,58 percent, y-o-y, to 1,640 tonnes.
Latvia's airBaltic remained the largest cargo carrier at Vilnius, with 691 tonnes, corresponding to a market share at 42.1 percent.
Aviavilsa, operating for DHL, came second with 370 tonnes carried, followed by CSA with 200 tonnes, and Lufthansa with 174 tonnes.
