Jan 05, 2010 (newstodate): The Estonian carrier Avies has emerged as the winner of the tender for serving the domestic route between Tallinn and Kardla, on the Baltic Sea island of Hiiuuma.
The contract now awarded to Avies by the Estonian mionistry of transportation runs till March 2014, and the carrier will operate two daily flights.
Avies beat offers from the Polish carrier Jet Air, the Finnish carrier Wingo and the German carrier OLT, Ostfriesische Lufttransport.
Avies was also the operator of the Tallinn-Kardla route during the earlier contract period.
