Jan 12, 2010 (newstodate): Sweden's airports may be heading towards a branding problem over the the use of the word "airport"!
A network for the purification of the Swedish language has brought Malmoe Airport to the court over the use of the word "Airport" rather than the Swedish equivalent, "flygplats".
-There is no need for Swedish airports to use an english-language word as noone is in doubt about the content of the institution, says a spokesperson for the network.
If the case against Malmoe Airport, sorry Flygplats, is won, it would have a direct bearing on the naming of other airport in the country.
