Oct 25, 2010 (newstodate): The Hungarian low-cost carrier WIZZ Air is reportedly to settle in Lithuania.
While no official comments have yet been issued by the airport, WIZZ is said to be preparing to set up a new operational base at Vilnius Airport and planning for the opening of eight new routes from April, 2011.
The new operator would add nicely to the currently 17 international routes out of Vilnius Airport.
Since May 2010, Ryanair has been serving Lithuania with routes from its hub at the country's Kaunas Airport.
