Nov 09, 2010 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo continued its steep growth in cargo volumes through October 2010.
A total of 12,284 tonnes of cargo was transported, an increase by 32 percent, y-o-y, slightly down on this year's 10-months growth rate at 37.6 percent due to industrial disputes during the month and extraordinarily high loads in October 2009.
Asian traffic accounted for 6,643 tonnes, up five percent in October, and up 27 percent, y-o-y, to 61,870 tonnes during January-October 2010.
European cargo was up 10.7 percent to 2,102 tonnes in October, and loads in the trans-Atlantic sector dropped 1.8 percent, y-o-y, to 734 tonnes in October.
Cargo transported on the company's single MD-11F accrued to 2,591 tonnes in October, and to 11,792 tonnes in January-October 2010.
