Dec 23, 2010 (newstodate): Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is growing in cargo volumes in 2010 - but at a fairly modest pace, compared to other leading cargo airports in the region.
Thus a total of 44,143 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport during January-November 2010, up 12.4 percent, y-o-y.
In November, the increase was even smaller at 7.5 percent, y-o-y, to 4,310 tonnes.
During January-November 2010, import growth took the lead with 18.5 percent, y-o-y, to 20,686 tonnes, while exports grew by only six percent to 21,139 tonnes.
For November, the picture was slightly different as exports overtook imports in growth, by 6.5 and 5.8 percent, respectively.
