Dec 02, 2010 (newstodate): Cargo volumes were soaring at Denmark's Billund Airport in November.
A total of 5,642 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, a growth by 34.7 percent, y-o-y.
The total included 2,962 tonnes of imports, up 24.1 percent, and 2,680 tonnes of exports, up by 48.6 percent, y-o-y.
After the first 11 months of the year, the airport has thus handled 56,759 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 35.8 percent, y-o-y.
Imports totaled 31,285 tonnes, up 56.4 percent, and exports were 25.474 tonnes, an increase by 16.9 percent, y-o-y.
Billund Airport is thus to set a new record in volumes in 2010, surpassing 2008 when 55,775 tonnes were handled as the airport's so far largest full-year volume.
