Feb 02, 2010 (newstodate): Ryanair is planning to open flights on a new route to Lithuania.
Effective from February 2, 2010, the LCC will offer three weekly rotations between Kaunas, Lithuania, and Brussels, Belgium.
The new route will add the 8th Lithuanian destination to Ryanair's route network at Kaunas, including Bremen, Brussels, London Luton and London Stansted, Birmingham, Dublin, Liverpool and Frankfurt Hahn.
Ryanair's traffic is crucial to the airport that is otherwise only served by airBaltic with a route to Riga, Latvia.
