Jun 08, 2010 (newstodate): TAV DOOEL Macedonia, operator of Macedonia's Skopje Alexander the Great Airport, has contracted the airfield ground lighting company ADB to deliver a comprehensive lighting solution.
The turnkey project, won through a public tender, comprises an upgrade of the Airport Lighting Control System, the Individual Light Control and Monitoring System and several updates to incorporate redundancy into existing systems.
Following on the completion of these works, the airport operator is preparing to launch a new tender for equipment to meet the lighting needs of the upcoming project for extending the airports existing 2,400 m runway.
