Aug 05, 2010 (newstodate): Although out of production since 1998, the SAAB 340 remains a very attractive turboprop aircraft.
Skyworld Aviation has thus now placed two Saab 340A aircraft with Direct Aero Services of Romania.
The two aircraft will operate on regional passenger routes on behalf of Direct Aeros sister airline, Blue Air of Romania.
Acting on behalf of Avitrans Leasing of Sweden, Skyworld Aviation has also sold a Saab 340A to Sprint Air of Poland.
The aircraft has been operated by Sprint Air on a lease contract for four years, but the carrier has now purchased the aircraft after winning a
local postal contract.
