Sep 15, 2010 (newstodate): Hungary's Budapest Airport seems to be heading for recovery in cargo and mail volumes in 2010.
A total of 37,452 tonnes of cargo and mail by aircraft was handled at the airport, including 34,396 tonnes of flown cargo and 3,056 tonnes of flown mail.
This compares favorably to full-year volumes in 2009 where the airport handled 49,800 tonnes of flown cargo and 4,554 tonnes of flown mail.
In addition, the airport handled 7,587 tonnes of trucked airfreight during January-July, 2010, compared to a total of 8.515 tonnes during the full year 2009.
