Jan 24, 2011 (newstodate): Estonian Air is today taking delivery of its first new Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen aircraft.
Following the hand-over ceremony at Bombardier's factory in Canada, the aircraft will arrive in Estonia on January 25 and make its first commercial flight on January 27, 2011, on the route Tallinn-Stockholm.
The second aircraft will follow later this week, and a third aircraft will be delivered in 2012.
The new aircraft will be used on Estonian Air's shorter and high-demand business routes mainly, like Stockholm, Moscow and Brussels.
In parallel, Estonian Air continues to use Boeing 737-300 and 737-500 aircraft.
