Jan 11, 2011 (newstodate): The Kazakh regional carrier Semay Air has taken delivery of its second ERJ-145 aircraft.
The aircraft is delivered on a lease arrangement with Airstream, and was formerly operated by FLyBe and British Airways.
Semay Air is based at Semay, providing flights to Astana and Almaty five times weekly.
The carrier is on EU's ban list due to its fleet of obsolete Yak-40 aircraft, and is therefore now replacing these with Embraer aircraft, the first of which, formerly operated by Athens Airways, was delivered in December 2010
